FAQ & Ticket Info
This season 2020/2021 we bring our love of chamber music to the comfort of your home with our virtual concert series 'At Home with Vetta'.
Please join us with your friends and family – anyone who is in your bubble for wonderful intimate concerts recorded just for you at the acoustically magnificent and visually stunning Chan Centre.
Get comfortable, eat and drink whatever you want but please unwrap your candies before the music begins – we can still hear that!
When are your virtual concerts available?
October 8th, 2020 - June 10th, 2021
Our five-concert series will be released throughout the season, from October 8th to June 10th. Each concert will be available for viewing for four days (five days for the first concert) and you can watch it as many times as you like within the viewing period.
How do I view your virtual concerts?
Three steps to gain access
Step 1. Purchase a ticket for the concert you’re interested in or even better subscribe to all our concerts!
Step 2. Vetta’s online viewing platform requires a password. You will receive an email from us with the password and information on how to watch each performance about a week in advance of the viewing period. You can watch the concert on any internet-connected device – this could be your phone, laptop, desktop computer, TV, tablet, etc. We are recording these concerts at the Chan Centre.
Step 3. Watch at your own leisure! This can be done anytime you like during a viewing period. Also join us in a live Zoom reception with the artists at 8:30 p.m. PT on the Friday of the concert viewing period. Some may wish to watch at the suggested time of 7 p.m. PT on that Friday, and then join the zoom chat as a post concert reception.

Can I Airplay to my AppleTV?
You can AirPlay from most browsers if you have Apple TV by selecting the AirPlay button in the bottom right-hand side of the player.
Why does video playback stall or not play smoothly?
Our concerts stream on Vimeo. Vimeo uses adaptive bitrate streaming which means the streaming quality will automatically adjust based on your internet speed provided by your internet service provider. If your internet connection is poor or inconsistent you may experience problems during playback. If you’re on Wi-Fi, try moving closer to your router.
Why is the streaming video frequently buffering during playback?
Frequent buffering can occur when the viewer’s Internet bandwidth does not support playback of the selected video quality. Try switching to “Auto” in the quality menu of the Vimeo video player (the default), if available. If “Auto” is not available, switch to one of the lower quality options. If your video still fails to start, check your estimated bandwidth on Vimeo's 'Test My Internet Speed' web application.
Why are the video frames dropping during playback?
Dropped frames can occur if your machine/device’s processing is unable to keep up with the video data that’s being transferred. If your system cannot process a higher quality of video, frames of video may be skipped, which can cause audio to become out of sync as well. This tends to happen most when multiple programs are running while viewing video. Try closing unused applications or browser tabs and/or update your browser and graphics card.
Why do I see a black screen if I am watching content with Airplay on my TV?
You likely have “Screen Mirroring” turned on in your device settings. Please turn off the screen mirroring setting and start AirPlay by selecting the AirPlay button in the bottom right-hand side of the player.
